Monthly Musing

Well, this is a bit of fun. One of the best things about this job is how immediate the satisfaction is: a project styled, every design and curation decision right there in front of you. With so many homes styled every week, it is easy to lose inspiration, so the creative team at Residence takes it in turns to build a mood board each month, to share with each other and set the tone for the month ahead. And now we are sharing it with you.

Each month one of our creatives will curate the next musing, with a little note from whoever pulled it together. Follow along and see the things we cannot stop thinking about.

September 2026
Curated by Residence Head Stylist: Sonya

September brings the warmth back after winter. The palette rests on baked clay and terracotta grounded with chocolate brown, lifted by olive, sage and a touch of citron, and softened with dusty rose like the first blossom on the trees. Bring it in through cushions, decor, tiles or new linen, or be bold and colour drench a whole room in one shade for a warm, immersive feel.

This month’s palette
Raw linen, pale sage, dusty rose, terracotta, burnt sienna.

A room is felt before it is understood.
